am doing up an old ALLEN b10 ride on mower

HI i am doingup a old Allen b10 ride on mower and cannot find any parts or service manuals for it?  I would like to get some in pdf maybe.  It has a 10hp brigs engine and is model no  220707. All i can find out is that they were taken over by haytor and i cant get any futher than that.  All the parts places wont help even if they have the parts i need cos they are in bins and without the partnumber they can't be botherd to look!!!!!!!!  progress  ha!!!!!  what happend to good old common sense and being able to look at the bits that will fit!!!!!!  Any way  if you know where i can find service or parts manuals etc that would be great.  I would allso like as much info on that range as i can find,  the heretage range of haytor machines has some of the bits on there pdf manuals so i can see that they came from the same stable, but there the trail ends. Because they no longer make them there is no interest in helping me find info on them.

Smiley  thats great thanks a lot for that spot on.  Now if i can find one for body etc!   The engine is knocking rather a lot, would it be worth stripping down and doing the con ends?  or just run it till it stops and then get replacment engine?  I got no idea what the bits cost on that engine. Thanks a lot for your help
regards Charlie

hi again,  I got some more pics and got it running now. It was spitting sparks big time i think the rings might have been stuck because after i left the cylinder to soak in wd40 it stopped the sparks that was comeing out of the exhaust.  It also lost all the oil twice but now seems ok.  Running out of oil did not do the ends any good!!! whoops lol.  I had a problem with one of the idler pullys on the main belt and because i cant quote them a number because the machine is no longer made, without the part number no one would take the trouble to look and match the old part with the bins full of pulleys that would fit my machine!!!!!!!  progress they call it!!!!!!!.  Any way i split the old one in half and replaced the rusted lump that was in the centre with a  new bearing and welded it back together, it works fine now.  As you can see i have taken off the deck and grass chute, i want to alter the chute so i dont have to take off the rear axle each time.  I was surprised to find the axle was going through the discharge chute, that meant it was one huge solid ball of dried grass etc that would have readuced to flow and made the thing work harder because it was binding. Anyway  now that i have it working i will be giveing it a paint job when i have the time, and a new drive belt because of the bits that the idler had chewed from it.  Hope you like the pics   Charlie
