Tractor Ted

I own several of these DVD's..I highly recommend them. Little ones who are into tractors, well, even if they aren't, will love the Tractor Ted films.  They are full of really neat real life footage. Each film is narrated by a cartoon character called Tractor Ted. These DVS's show what happens on a real farm..It's a lovely series and it keeps my nephew's attention throughout the entire showing. I actually find them entertaining myself. Smiley I just wonder when another installment of Tractor Ted is due out?

We don't have any of these as I try to avoid TV for my little one as much as I can. Her nan who she sees a lot of is a TV addict and has the goggle box on ALL the time, really inappropriate shows for such a little one, so I tend to make sure there is no TV at all when she is not with nan.

Seems like a harmless enough series, I am just sorry I can't get her nan to watch them!

I know what you mean. So many parents let their children spend way too much time in front of the telly. Sad to say, but there are times when I am by myself and the only way to get a slight break is the occasional DVD.. Tractor Ted sounds like it is educational as well as entertaining..

Television has it's place in a kid's life, as long as it isn't abused. Just like books it can expose them to educational opportunities that they wouldn't have otherwise, and for some kids it seems like Tractor Ted would do just that. I like the look of them.

I believe the TV is a luxury, and not a babysitter. Smiley It bothers me when I find out that a ton of kids are watching more tv than reading, having educational activities, etc. I wish more people would take notice as to how easy you can be sucked into the TV world and the hassles it creates for little ones. I need to try and find some videos like this as well. Anyone know if its possible to get one that is in DVD format, changed into a VHS one?

The film is not available on VHS through the tractor mad site, that is for sure. It would be possible to get it converted and put onto tape if you took it to a specialist shop but that might be quite costly. Otherwise I don't know what to suggest, sorry.

There are several of the Tractor Ted range available on VHS elsewhere. There aren't so many, I guess they are being phased out now just like anything else on video compared to DVD. Perhaps the admin here could tell you where to get one? Post the question in the general section perhaps.

Thanks for the info, seems I can always find a way to geta VHS to a DVD, but not the other way around. Anyone ever have the catch 22 happen to them, it seems to haunt me sometimes.

I have had all kinds of files recorded onto VHS in the past, from old family films that were fifty years old, to the more recent films at thirty years old and then those that were sent to me from other family members via the internet.

I would try and find a specialist in your home town that deals with this and ask them.
