Britains JCB Tractors
10/20/07 at 12:37:02

I'm currently interesting in a combination of Joel and Britains Die Cast Models, I know this sounds a little stupid but can anyone point me to the JCB tractors on the TractorMad shopping site? This is something I will defently be looking into purchasing but I'm struggling to find these products on the website at the moment. How many JCB models are there on TractorMad? I'd like to give my nephew some tractors for an upcoming birthday, do these products keep kids busy?

JCB Tractors can be found on there web site at http://www.tractormad.co.uk/britains-m-10.html , I am also interested in these products because I believe they will have a collectable value in the future and if not there is always ebay where these products will be wanted by someone for a good price. Speaking of Ebay does TractorMad sell there products on ebay? they would make a killing.

The die cast models will hold a child's interests only if they are into cars, models or tractors. My child loves them-she loves cars and tractors, and will play for a long time with cars, making them go down ramps and so on. But not every child is interested in this kind of thing; you'd have to know the child.

My daughter likes tractors AND cars, but isn't interested in die cast models yet. They are a little too small for her chubby little hands, and she isn't interested in detail. She prefers interactive toys that she can bully a little.

It takes a while before the little ones can actually manipulate and enjoy the diecast models. They are, as you said, much more detail oriented, but are usually much smaller scale..The tractor models are just a little larger and usually a little sturdier.  As far as selling on ebay, there isn't much of anything that you can't find for sale on ebay, so I'd be surprised if someone wasn't doing just that.

A big part of it is also that they need an imagination to play with die casts, I think. Most kids don't start getting into imaginative play till two and a half or later, so perhaps your child just needs to get a little older before they will get into this.

All your posts have been very useful in helping me, appreciate them thanks. One quick question while I'm on the forums, can anyone give me any information on where to go to purchase Britains JCB Tractors? I have a couple of links on TractorMad and via yahoo but not many, can anyone suggest where else I can look for information?

I would also try any model shops that you have locally. I ran into the most bizarre find at a local shop today, finding that it had some of the Ertl range of tractor models and toys. The die casts I would not have been so surprised at, but the toys I really was.

There is a chance, and if not they might be able to tell you there where else to try.

Thank you for your suggestion DSRudolph, as funny as it sounds I never thought about asking at local shops until you mentioned it. To be honest there was no rush although I did ask in one or two shops who both pointed me in the direction of a local shop I never even knew about in all the time I've been living here! There are all sorts of products there from model airplanes to toy soldiers not to mention all the model vehicles. Thank You.
